All About Me

Born and raised in Jonesboro, Georgia, I grew up in a family of 4 surrounded by hardworking parents that drove me to pursue an education in the sciences. Upon entering Agnes Scott College, I chose to work towards a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience because of my general interest in psychopathology. At Agnes, I have gotten the chance to be deeply involved on campus by working as a writing and speaking tutor and leading a volunteer-oriented club on campus. Further, I have had the opportunity to engage in research experiences in the fields of molecular and cognitive neuroscience, bolstering my investigative, problem-solving, and science communication skills. Currently, I would like to pursue a career in psychiatric research that centers around developing treatment modes for clinical populations dealing with anxiety and psychotic disorders.
